Your mission

We are seeking a highly motivated Field Service Engineer to join our team, where you will have the exciting opportunity to work with cutting‑edge Scienion and Cellenion technology for various applications, including microarrays, biosensors, microneedling, and single‑cell dispensing, amongst other innovative applications. This is a field‑based position, with extensive travel in the UK and Ireland but be able to support in other regions when required.

Your responsibilities

In this exciting position, you will be the technical interface between our customers and our internal development team. You will ensure that our innovative life science systems are used optimally and continuously improved.

  • Technical problem solving: You will analyze, identify, and resolve malfunctions in applications and systems.
  • Second‑ and third‑level support: You will assist our customers with complex technical issues.
  • Error analysis & optimization: You will continuously investigate and improve customer applications to ensure the highest quality.
  • Maintenance & repair: You will perform annual PMIs (preventive maintenance inspections) and on‑site repairs.
  • Training & education: You will conduct internal and external user training and machine training to increase knowledge and productivity.
  • Documentation: You create and maintain technical documentation, error logs, user manuals, and ISO documents.
  • Customer communication: You process support cases via our help desk ticketing system and actively seek feedback to continuously improve our products.
  • Quotation preparation: You prepare technical quotations and send them to our customers.
  • Travel within the territory as needed. Overnight travel is approximately 50% as required.
Your profile

You enjoy solving technical challenges and working closely with customers and colleagues.

  • A degree in Engineering or a comparable qualification
  • 3+ years of experience in a related field or in‑house service required
  • Fluent English is required. Additional European languages are an advantage
  • Experience in a life sciences work environment
  • Willingness to travel more than 60% of the time
  • Must have a UK driving licence and access to a car
  • Strong communication skills and enjoyment of interacting with customers
  • Team spirit, initiative, and a solution‑oriented approach to work.
