Job summary

Precision People is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service and repair specialist industrial machinery across customer sites in Glasgow, Edinburgh and surrounding areas. Applicants should be based along the M8 corridor between Edinburgh and Glasgow.

The role includes electrical and mechanical servicing, with a company van, overtime, training courses and a competitive starting salary of £41,000 per annum. Occasional overnight stays may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing, servicing or maintaining industrial/electrical plant or manufacturing machinery.
• Holds a valid Electrical Qualification (e.g. City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND).
• Proven experience with single/3-phase motors.
• Mechanical hands-on experience including belts, shafts, bearings, motors and drives.
• Willingness to travel for training.
• Good communication skills with customers and operatives.
• Full clean UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain specialist industrial machinery.
• Breakdown repairs and planned works.
• Electrical servicing/repairs on single and 3-phase motors, inverters, sensors and control panels.
• Mechanical servicing/repairs on drives, belts, motors, shafts and bearings.
• Carry out routine testing and inspections.
• Fault finding, diagnostics and PPMs.
• Work in teams.
