Job summary

Atlas Copco Group is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide on-site repair and maintenance for our compressed air technology. You will install, service and troubleshoot air compressors and related equipment, prioritising safety and quality to support customer operations.

The role is based in the Midlands, UK, with responsibilities including diagnostic work, on-call support, and using digital tools to report performance. Strong customer communication and a proactive approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in industrial, mechanical, electrical, or engineering field roles including troubleshooting.
• Mechanical or electrical qualifications or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficient with standard IT applications and service management tools.
• Valid UK driving licence with clean record (≤3 points).
• Adaptable, proactive problem-solver with a strong safety mindset.
• Excellent customer-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent Atlas Copco on-site with professionalism and a customer-first approach.
• Install, service, and troubleshoot air compressors, dryers, gas generators, and related equipment.
• Diagnose technical faults and perform expert repairs with safety and efficiency.
• Log service activity using digital tools and maintain up-to-date records.
• Participate in on-call schedule and support urgent service needs.
