Field Service Engineer – Boilers & Chillers

Redditch (Covering the Midlands)

£40,000 – £50,000 + Overtime + Call Out + Van + Career Progression OTE £60,000+++++

Are you a skilled engineer with a strong background in commercial heating and cooling systems? Do you want to join a growing, forward‑thinking business where you’ll be supported, valued, and given room to develop?

We’re working with a fast‑expanding engineering company who pride themselves on delivering an exceptional service to clients across the Midlands. As part of their continued growth, they’re looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer to support installations, commissioning, maintenance and fault‑finding on boilers, chillers and associated plant.

This is a hands‑on, varied role offering the chance to work with cutting‑edge equipment within a supportive, high‑performance team environment.

The Role
  • Install, commission and maintain commercial boilers, air‑cooled chillers and associated systems
  • Carry out fault‑finding and diagnostics on chilled water systems, AHUs and forced draft burners
  • Support pipework modifications and system upgrades within plant rooms
  • Lead or mentor other engineers on site where required
  • Attend call‑outs as part of a rota, ensuring swift, safe resolution of issues
  • Ensure all work complies with health, safety and environmental standards
About You
  • Strong background in commercial mechanical, pipework and boiler systems
  • Experience with chilled water systems, air‑cooled chillers and control wiring
  • Ideally holds Commercial Gas Safe and F‑Gas certification
  • Familiar with BMS (Building Management Systems)
  • Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel
  • Team‑oriented with a positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn
