Job summary

A leading service provider in fuel technology is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to service petrol pumps in the Reading area. While experience in fuel equipment is helpful, full training will be provided. Ideal candidates will have a background in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and excellent troubleshooting skills. A competitive salary of £36,000 plus bonuses and opportunities for career progression are offered.

Job description

As a leading service provider to the fuel technology industry, we are actively seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to work with our clients based in and around the Reading / M4 Corridor area. Based from home, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining petrol pumps and associated equipment, working to SLA’s and providing technical support.

Although previous experience with petrol pumps / fuel equipment would be helpful, this is not required as we are committed to providing full training and development for the right individual.

Qualifications
  • Solid background in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, ideally qualified to City and Guilds level.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills – adept at fault-finding to the component level, ensuring systems operate at peak performance.
  • Adaptability – able to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Prepared to travel to fulfil responsibilities.
  • Flexible hours – prepared for occasional early starts and late finishes; required to work 1 in 3 weekends.
