The Role

Field Service Engineer – Vehicle Wash Equipment

Location: Peterborough (covering up to a 50-mile radius)

Salary: £32,500 rising to £36,500 after probation + performance bonus + van + overtime + benefits

Hours: 45 hours per week (Mon–Fri) + 1 in 4 weekends (premium rates apply)

What You’ll Be Doing

• Carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs on a full range of vehicle wash systems.
• Attend breakdowns, diagnose faults, and deliver first-time fixes wherever possible.
• Install and commission new equipment to company standards.
• Perform chemical top-ups and complete all required service documentation.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal support teams.
• Follow all company procedures and health & safety requirements.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Full, valid UK driving licence.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills, backed by hands-on experience.
• Confident working independently and delivering high standards.
• Professional and customer-focused approach — you’re the face of the business on-site.
• Comfortable using tablets and customer portals for job logging and updates.

Desirable:

• Mechanical/electrical engineering qualification.
• Experience working with vehicle wash or similar automated equipment.
