Coffee Field Service Engineer

Location: Edinburgh

Salary: Up to £37,500 per annum + additional remuneration for weekend work, vehicle, pension and other benefits. Hours: 7 am – 4 pm (leave at 7, return at 4).

We are seeking a coffee field service engineer to join a leading coffee industry brand. The role involves performing repairs and preventive maintenance on coffee equipment, ensuring high quality coffee and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out a broad range of coffee equipment repair and preventive maintenance tasks, from fault finding to diagnosis, ensuring equipment is left in good working order.
  • Ensure equipment is set up according to agreed specifications to provide consistent coffee quality.
  • Work proactively with the central call centre, taking day-to-day instructions and keeping customers informed.
  • Comply with on-site arrival procedures and seek permission to commence work.
  • Adhere to health and safety procedures, undertaking risk assessments and reporting any risks.
  • Complete all necessary online job sheets, time sheets and supporting documentation before leaving premises.
  • Keep all tools, equipment and vehicles supplied by the company in good working order and report faults.
  • Provide agreed spare parts stock via hand‑held unit, invoicing customers and maintaining inventory.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Passion for customer service and a confident, well‑presented individual.
  • Excellent understanding of coffee quality and associated equipment.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with an electrical/ mechanical background.
  • Computer literate and possessing a clean driving licence.
  • Self‑motivated with a flexible approach to location and hours; required to work 1 in 4 weekends.
  • Mechanical experience and knowledge, UK driving licence.
