Job Details

This role is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Location: Central Belt, Scotland (Glasgow to Edinburgh).

This role requires travel across central Scotland, covering areas such as Motherwell, Falkirk, Stirling, and surrounding towns.

We are seeking a skilled Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service support to our diverse customer base. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting service visits to address reported calls and maintain high standards of professional service support.
  • Responding promptly to customer service requests for the repair of business equipment.
  • Performing fault diagnosis and implementing effective repairs through adjustments, cleaning, or spare parts replacement.
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance as per manufacturer guidelines and service management recommendations.
  • Communicating effectively with customers, providing detailed reports on work completed, and ensuring acceptance of equipment condition and performance post-service.
  • Installing equipment sold by the company and ensuring optimal performance to customer satisfaction.
  • Providing training and guidance to customers to maximize equipment efficiency and prevent operational errors.
  • Managing inventory of spare parts and consumables effectively to support service operations.

A typical working pattern is Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30, with a one-hour lunch break. This role is fully remote at client sites. Attendance at our offices is required periodically for team meetings and training.

Skills and Experience Required
  • It is essential that you have worked as an engineer on MFD printers.
  • IT knowledge with the ability to network devices and to set up scanning functions.
  • The ability to provide first class customer service with previous customer facing experience.
  • Experience of working in a target driven environment.
  • To be smart and presentable at all times.
  • Willing to undertake training on new product lines, such as Laptops and PC’s.
