Job Description

Our client is looking for an experienced Generator Service Engineer to join their team based out of their Hemel and Braintree depots. The role will be responsible for providing onsite customer support to our range of generator machinery within the region, with a primary focus on keeping the machinery in peak operating condition through scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections.

Key Responsibilities
  • Both workshop and onsite customer support to our range of generators within the region
  • Investigate, diagnose and resolve customer reports of technical problems with equipment
  • Repair and service generators and associated equipment
  • Complete paperwork and timesheets in a timely manner
  • Work independently to troubleshoot and solve problems
  • Provide good customer service skills
Key Skills We Are Looking For
  • Minimum of 5 years experience servicing industrial diesel generators in a field‑based role
  • Excellent working knowledge of engines, alternators, control panels and wiring diagrams
  • Excellent verbal, written and critical thinking skills
  • IT proficient
  • Interpersonal relationships, customer awareness and commercial awareness
  • Efficient and flexible with the ability to work without supervision
Additional Beneficial Qualifications

  • Powered Access, 18th Edition
  • Ability to service the range of machines
