Job summary

A leading material handling firm in Great Yarmouth is seeking a Field Service Engineer to diagnose and repair forklift machinery. The role offers a competitive salary of £35,000-£40,000 with potential OTE of £45,000+. Benefits include 24 days leave and opportunities for advancement. The ideal candidate will have experience in hydraulics and electrical fault finding, along with a full UK driver's licence. This position requires travel across the UK.

Salary and Working Hours

£35,000-£40,000 base (OTE £45,000+), with door‑to‑door paid, Monday‑Friday 08:00‑17:00, overtime at 1.5×.

Interaction Technical has partnered with a well‑established, growing material handling firm that provides handling and access solutions to firms all over the UK.

Benefits

Responsibilities
  • Accurately diagnosing faults, servicing and carrying out emergency repairs/breakdowns on plant and forklift machinery.
  • Collaborate with customers around plant, lifting and handling products.
  • Work independently at customer sites and collaborate with colleagues to ensure documentation and the perfect solution is offered.
  • Actively travel to sites and carry out repairs and create solutions.
  • Work on engines, batteries, pneumatics and hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairs.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in the plant or forklift industries (essential).
  • Previous experience with hydraulics, mechanical and electrical capabilities (essential).
  • Experience with engines and batteries (essential).
  • Electrical and/or mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience.
  • Relevant qualifications NVQ or City & Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous).
  • Full UK driver’s licence.
