Job summary

Liebherr-Great Britain Ltd. is seeking a Field Service Engineer based in Biggleswade to service and repair earthmoving equipment at customer premises or on-site.

The role emphasizes adherence to manufacturer guidelines, timely repairs and maintaining a high standard of safety and workmanship. The successful candidate will have completed a recognised apprenticeship to NVQ level 3 or equivalent, with prior field service experience, strong communication skills, and a flexible approach to work.

Qualifications

  • Satisfactory completion of a recognised apprenticeship in a related industry to NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
  • Experience in a similar field service role preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out servicing, inspection and repair of earthmoving machinery at customer premises, on site or at depot.
  • Diagnosing faults and taking appropriate action.
  • Ensuring warranty parts are cleaned and returned on time with correct packing and labelling.
  • Maintaining service documentation and complying with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Escalating issues where necessary and coordinating with depot support teams.
