Job summary

Control Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking a Field Service Engineer for industrial bakery manufacturing. The role involves varied service, maintenance, installations, upgrades and occasional breakdowns on packaging machinery across multiple sites in the UK.

You will read schematics, diagnose faults and educate customers on use and maintenance. Ideal candidates are multiskilled in maintenance with experience in the bakery sector, flexible to travel and stay away from home as required, and

Qualifications

• Multiskilled maintenance experience required across mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience servicing industrial bakery equipment and packaging machinery.
• Strong health & safety focus with clear, proactive communication.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home as needed.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance, installations, upgrades and occasional breakdowns on packaging machinery.
• Read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings, diagnose faults and repair equipment.
• Educate customers on proper use and maintenance of machines.
• Work on industrial bakery machinery and related systems.

Field Service Engineer - Industrial Bakery Manufacturing

Location UK wide can be based anywhere with reasonable motorway links

Birmingham, Warrington, Manchester, Leeds, Coventry, Oxford, Leicester, Sheffield, Peterborough, Northampton, M1

Salary circa £50,000 - 60,0000 basic + car + overtime + private health care + 10 - 15% bonus + pension + 33 days holiday + training + credit card, fuel card, expenses, allowances

Hours Monday to Friday (weekend work / overtime available if desired)

The Job:

• Varied work including service, maintenance, installations, upgrades and occasional breakdowns for packaging machinery.
• Read mechanical and electrical drawings / schematics, fault finding, diagnostics, repair, installations.
• Educate customers on use and maintenance.
• Working on industrial bakery machinery.

The Person:

• Multiskilled maintenance or service experience.
• Experience in industrial bakery sector.
• Flexible to travel and stay away from home - depending on where you live this may be a few nights per month on average.
• Health & safety and hygiene focused, friendly, proactive, good communication, desire to learn and improve.
• Machinery experience may include conveyors, dosing equipment, spiral mixers, high speed mixers, dough processing , dividers, moulders, provers, depositors, tunnel ovens, rack ovens, spiral conveyors, coolers, slicers, checkweighers, scanners, autoloaders, metal detectors, X-ray inspection, pack validation vision systems, sealing machinery, seal integrity systems, automated boxing and sleeving systems, labellers, palletisers, end of line inspection and automation systems.
