Field Service Engineer

Your purpose: As part of a small expert team, you will be responsible for the technical service, equipment commissioning at customer sites, training, and conducting customer trials. You will work with various equipment such as depositors, mixers, fillers, and more.

Main Duties
  • Unload, install, and ensure safe setup of machinery at customer sites, ensuring safety and compliance.
  • Conduct trials both in-house and at customer sites; perform equipment commissioning.
  • Provide customer training to ensure proper operation and maintenance.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, field modifications, and support factory activities.
  • Produce progress reports.
  • Build strong customer relationships through effective communication and follow‑up.
  • Work in the factory manufacturing department as required: building and testing our equipment before shipping.
  • Follow health & safety policies and ensure proper calibration of tools and equipment.
Qualifications
  • Graduated or currently enrolled in a mechanical trade program.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical engineering; electrical knowledge is appreciated.
  • Passionate about troubleshooting and technical problem‑solving.
  • Customer‑oriented mindset with a proactive approach to service.
  • Willingness to travel (often on short notice) and work at customer sites in the UK and Ireland 70% of the time; at least one night off per week.
  • Valid driving licence.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
  • Overall willingness to work near the Wellingborough site as part of a small team.
