Job summary

Pioneer Selection is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service forklift trucks and material handling equipment across customer sites in SE postcodes. The role offers a 40 or 45 hour week with overtime and door-to-door pay, plus a company van and fuel card.

Based in a technically supportive team, you will diagnose faults, perform routine maintenance, and manage your own schedule while maintaining high service standards. A strong engineering background and UK driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Engineering background with FLT, mobile plant, HGV or industrial vehicle maintenance.
• Knowledge in Electrical, Mechanical and Hydraulics.
• Recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Field Service Engineer – FLT and MHE

Location: Covering SE, DA, BR, ME, RM, SS Postcodes
Hours: Monday to Friday - 40 Hour or 45 Hour Week available
Salary: £30,000 - £37,000 (40 Hours) or £36,000 - £42,500 (45 Hours)

About the Role

You will service and maintain forklift trucks and other material handling equipment across customer sites. Your day is largely self‑planned, supported by a strong technical team and ongoing manufacturer training.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair FLT and material handling equipment.
• Conduct routine servicing and maintenance of customer sites.
• Plan and manage own schedule while ensuring high service quality.

Key Requirements

• Engineering background with experience in FLT, mobile plant, HGV or industrial vehicle maintenance.
• Knowledge in Electrical, Mechanical and Hydraulics.
• Recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Previous field service engineering experience is advantageous but not essential.
