Job summary

Mantis Cranes Ltd is seeking a Field Service Engineer based from Rushden, Northants, to install, service and fault-diagnose cranes across the UK. The role requires travel, a full driving licence and the ability to work outdoors, including at height.

You will perform installation, maintenance and repairs on tower cranes, generators and accessories, with the potential for a company vehicle and phone after training and competency are achieved.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Willingness to travel across the UK, including overnight stays.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Physically fit for manual work and able to work at height.
• Flexible and driven to work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Installation and dismantling of Tower Cranes, including Self Erecting Tower Cranes.
• Maintenance and servicing on cranes, generators, and accessories.
• Fault diagnosis and repairs on electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation and Dismantling: Safe installation and dismantling of Tower Cranes, including Self Erecting Tower Cranes.


• Maintenance and Servicing: Carrying out scheduled maintenance and servicing on cranes, generators, and accessories.


• Fault Diagnosis & Repairs: Diagnose and repair faults on electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.

Ideal Candidate Attributes:

• Flexible & Driven: Motivated to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.


• Working at Height: Ability to work at height and outdoors as required by the role.


• Full Driving License: Essential for travel across the UK.
