Field Service Engineer

Location: Manchester or Liverpool

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join a specialist engineering network supporting advanced heavy duty machinery used across construction, infrastructure and industrial environments.

This position involves diagnosing, servicing and repairing high performance tracked and wheeled machinery and you will be working with sophisticated hydraulic, mechanical and electronic systems in a fast paced, technical field environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver onsite technical support and engineering solutions.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs and fault finding on complex machinery.
  • Complete all work to exacting standards and within agreed timeframes.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of safety, compliance and equipment care.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring service excellence.
  • Support and mentor junior engineers/apprentices where required.
What You'll Need
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical/Land-based Engineering or 10+ years' experience in heavy equipment maintenance.
  • Strong diagnostic capabilities across mechanical, electrical & hydraulic systems.
  • Relevant certification (e.g. CPCS/plant ticket or equivalent).
  • Ability to work independently across field environments.
  • Strong customer focus and commercial awareness.
