Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Location: Reading

Salary: Basic of £31,500 per annum (additional £1,500 for London weighting), plus additional weekend on-call of up to £6,000 per annum - Total Salary: £39,000 per annum.

After 12 months’ probation: £32,400. Total Salary: £39,900.

Hours: Monday to Friday 8am-6pm, plus 1 in every 3‑weekend rota.

You'll play a critical role in maintaining customer satisfaction and keeping operations running smoothly. Your primary responsibilities will include responding to equipment breakdowns, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring all service work is documented accurately.

Main Responsibilities as a Field Service Engineer:

• Attend customer sites to diagnose and repair vehicle wash equipment
• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance visits
• Ensure all service calls are completed within agreed SLA timeframes
• Accurately document all service work using a company‑issued tablet and software
• Maintain van stock levels and ensure all company tools and equipment are in good working condition
• Comply with all company health and safety procedures
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to promote long‑term partnerships
