Job description

A company specialising in supplying high-quality medical equipment is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, service and test the wide range of products our client provides to commercial sectors. The Field Service Engineer will have good knowledge of mechanical engineering and electrics, and have the ability to fault-find. In addition, the Field Service Engineer will have attention to detail, be presentable and be safety conscious. Also, you will need to have a clean driving licence, be able to pass a CRB check. Due to the nature of the role and the locations visited, you will be required to have cover for Tetanus and Hepatitis B, and be able to do the ‘on-call’ rota.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service, test and install a wide range of mechanical and home care equipment, such as hoists, through‑floor lifts, physio equipment and baths
  • Provide excellent customer service to all customers, positively represent the brand and communicate with people at all levels
  • Keep the work area safe and clean, and ensure health and safety guidelines are followed
  • Do in‑house training and undertake supplier courses on company products
  • Keep accurate and legible records
  • Participate in out of hours on call emergency servicing

  • Due to the nature of our client’s work and the locations visited, you will be required to have cover for Tetanus and Hepatitis B.
  • Be able to do the ‘on‑call’ rota (to be discussed later in the process)
Hours

40 per week, generally 8.30 to 5.00 with some flexibility, plus overtime. Participation in an out of hours on call emergency service will be required (approximately one week in three).

Salary

£35,000 to £40,000 + overtime, commission, bonus and travel time + benefits
