Qualifications

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Chemistry, or related scientific field.
  • Hands-on experience with HPLC systems or similar chromatography technologies.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate laboratory equipment.
  • Valid driver’s licence and flexibility for travel.

Responsibilities

Location: Ideally Oxfordshire based but will involve travel within the Southern Region

We’re looking for a Field Service Engineer to play a key role in supporting high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and precision fluid delivery systems used across a range of sectors—from drug discovery and biomolecular purification to high-pressure chemistry and supercritical fluid applications.

What You’ll Do
  • Install, maintain, and repair HPLC and chromatography purification systems at customer sites.

  • Diagnose performance issues and carry out preventative maintenance to ensure instruments operate at peak accuracy.

  • Provide technical support and calibration services to research labs and industrial facilities.

  • Build lasting customer relationships by delivering expert service and guidance on system performance and optimization.

  • Travel across multiple client locations (up to 75%) to ensure continuous operation of mission‑critical analytical equipment.

What We’re Looking For
  • A degree (or equivalent qualification) in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
