Job summary

Kemp Eko Talent Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service, maintain and repair generators, biogas plants, CHP systems and related plant machinery. The role involves travel to client sites and on-site maintenance across a renewable energy portfolio.

You will perform preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, engine servicing and system testing using engine management systems and PLCs.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing gas engines, generators or CHP/biogas plants.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical and control system faults.
• Familiarity with engine management systems and PLC-based diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and breakdown support on gas engines, generators and related plant.
• Diagnose, fault-find and repair mechanical, electrical and control system faults.
• Carry out engine servicing, inspections and component replacements per manufacturer specs.

£50,000 + Overtime + Company Van + Paid Travel

Our Client is looking to upskill - Vehicle Technicians / HGV Technicians / Plant Fitters / Generator Engineers

We're looking for a Field Service Engineer to join clients leading engineering team, working to service, maintain, and repair generators, Biogas plants, plants, CHP Systems and associated plant machinery.

The main responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer will include:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and emergency breakdown support on gas engines, generators and associated plant.
• Diagnosing, fault-finding and repairing mechanical, electrical and control system issues.
• Carrying out engine servicing, inspections, adjustments and component replacements in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Monitoring engine performance and carrying out diagnostic testing to identify potential issues before they develop into failures.
• Working on gas engine systems including fuel, ignition, lubrication, cooling, exhaust and electrical generation systems.
• Using engine management systems, PLCs, diagnostic software and control panels to identify and resolve faults.
• Supporting the installation, commissioning, testing and optimisation of new gas engines, generators and associated systems.
