Qualifications

Field Service Engineer – Optimec Systems

Location: Malvern HQ, hybrid with UK & International travel
Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 basic, plus bonus eligibility

What you will do
  • Help build state of the art metrology systems – hardware and software.
  • Install them at customer sites, mainly contact lens manufacturers, in labs, clean rooms or manufacturing environments.
  • Train customers on how to use the systems.
  • Identify upsell opportunities.
  • Support the customer as required.
  • Run annual maintenance visits.
What you bring
  • Willing and able to travel in the UK and abroad, with a full UK driving licence and a valid passport.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware and software systems, building, installing, and fixing real equipment.
  • Field service/installation experience on customer sites, comfortable working in labs, clean rooms and manufacturing areas.
  • Follow clear procedures and keep accurate records so everyone knows what’s been done.
  • Problem solver who stays calm when things don’t go to plan.
  • Clear communicator who can explain steps simply and train customers with confidence.
  • Confident with standard tools and diagnostic kit to find and fix issues.
  • Keen to learn, we’ll train you on our product and any optical specifics you haven’t seen before.
Nice to have

Cleanroom or ESD experience, OCT or optical systems exposure, LabVIEW Core 1 or Core 2, ECS or CSCS or SPA site cards.
