Job summary

A leading machinery service provider is seeking a Workshop Engineer to maintain and repair heavy plant machinery. The role includes PDI, routine maintenance, and site visits across the UK. Candidates should have NVQ Level 3 Plant Maintenance and a strong background in the plant industry. Competitive salary up to £39.5K with OTE of £50K, plus benefits including medical and dental plans.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the Plant industry is essential.
  • Must be NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent.
  • Must be able to travel outside the UK for training.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct PDI on all machinery.
  • Perform routine maintenance and breakdown repairs.
  • Report all work carried out on engineer iPad.
  • Visit sites across various areas of the country.

Main Responsibilities of the Workshop Engineer

Experienced Workshop engineer covering the below on various Heavy Plant Machinery.

  • PDI of all machinary
  • Routine maintenance and breakdowns on machinery
  • Warranty repairs.
  • Damage repairs.
  • Site visits across various areas of the country
  • Clear and detailed reporting of work carried out and repairs necessary on engineer iPad
  • Manage all above to ensure 100% recovery.
Work experience requirements for the Workshop Engineer
  • Strong background in Plant industry essential.
  • NVQ Level 3 Plant Maintenance or equivalent.
  • CSCS card holder is preferred
  • Experience of diagnostic tools and computer software including Engine diagnostics
  • Ability to thrive and succeed in a busy, ever-changing environment
  • Excellent level of attention to detail and conscientiousness
  • Preferred dealer experience but not essential
  • Must be able to travel outside of the UK to attend manufacturers training courses.
