Qualifications

  • Qualified in electrical engineering, ideally with the 18th edition certification.
  • Experience with vehicle wash systems is beneficial but not essential.

  • Carry out fault finding and repair work on machine breakdowns.
  • Ensure accurate visit reports of work completed are recorded.

Job description

Our client is a leading supplier of commercial vehicle wash systems and due to their continued success Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Field Service Engineer.

The field service engineer will undertake machine installations, maintenance and repair work throughout North West England.

Excellent basic salary £40K -£44K + OT + Bonus + Van (OTE £46K-£50K).

The Role:

The field service engineer will be responsible for electrical and mechanical installation, service and repair of commercial vehicle wash equipment.

Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist with vehicle wash machinery installation and commissioning
  • Electrical control panel and installations of machinery
  • Attend machinery breakdowns and carry out fault find and repair work
  • Undertake scheduled planned maintenance checks
  • Ensure accurate visit reports including details of work undertaken/completed is recorded on computer system
Candidate:

You will be a competent engineer with excellent 3-phase electrical and mechanical fault find and repair skills.

Ideally you will have recognised qualification in electrical engineering e.g 18th edition.

Applicants with previous work experience with vehicle wash systems would be beneficial but not essential as training will be given.

You will be computer literate and you will have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Must be comfortable with working outdoors and occasionally staying from home.

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday 45 Hours + OT.
