The Best Connection Dudley are recruiting for a Field Service Engineer for a client in the Dudley area. The role offers regular shifts Monday to Friday with a chance of becoming permanent after a 12 week trial period. There is opportunity for overtime when available which is paid at an increased rate. Pay rate & Hours
  • between £16:00 - £17.25 all standard hours
  • 39 hours a week
Responsibilities
  • Attending sites for servicing, fault finding, and repairs on generators and accompanying equipment.
  • When not on the road, the employee will work out on site to service, inspect, and repair equipment ready for dispatch.
  • To accurately fault find and diagnose both mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Identify required specialist equipment and connectors.
  • Utilisation of the proper testing equipment for effective repair and maintenance
  • Ensure all equipment is set up as required by Contract Customer's Specifications
  • Modify generator fleet where required following instruction from the Technical Manager.
  • Repair and maintain machinery as per company and manufacturer requirements.
  • Attend equipment breakdowns as necessary to support the delivery of excellence customer service levels.
    This may require the post holder to work overtime, sometimes with short notice.
  • Any other technical-related service as required by the business.
  • Be part of the on‑call Rota system.
  • Support the development of high‑performance teams by attending planned training, positively engaging
    with the training provider.
  • Adherence to the companies Management Systems including Health and Safety,
    Environmental and Quality and all associated policies, standards, procedures and records.
