Overview

Job Title: Field Service Engineer - South West

The Field Service Engineer will support Philips Imaging customers and service partners, installing, maintaining and repairing imaging equipment. Two positions in the South West: one MRI-focused based in Bristol; the second primarily Cardiff/Newport focusing on Diagnostic X-Ray (DXR) and Image Guided Therapy (IGT).

Responsibilities
  • Operate at an advanced technical level to provide expert advice and solutions to customers and colleagues.
  • Provide field-based and remote technical support in line with training and experience.
  • Carry out preventative, corrective maintenance and field change order activities on complex healthcare systems.
  • Diagnose mechanical, hardware and software system failures using established procedures.
  • Determine most cost-effective repair to minimize customer downtime.
  • Collaborate with the Field Service Engineer team to provide remote support in a 5 by 7 working pattern.
  • Ensure adherence to Quality & Regulatory standards in a heavily regulated healthcare environment.
Requirements
  • HNC/NVQ Level 3 or higher or Degree in Electro-engineering or equivalent highly desirable.
  • Experienced logical problem solver with ability to work independently.
  • Experience in corrective and preventative maintenance for Imaging Systems devices and equipment.
  • Ability to process knowledge across multi-modality and diverse product ranges; adapt to new technologies.
  • Deliver high levels of customer service; IT/Network diagnosis and remote service desirable.
  • Based in the South West region (ideally around Bristol or Cardiff); willing to travel up to 25% to customer sites.
  • DBS check required due to healthcare environment.
