About this Role

As a Field Service Engineer at Dawsongroup, you’ll be on the move, servicing and repairing our growing fleet of forklifts at customer sites across the UK. You’ll be hands-on, solving problems, and keeping businesses running smoothly.

  • Completing routine maintenance, diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs as necessary
  • Working on a range of Material Handling Equipment ranging from electric to IC engines, brake systems, hydraulics and electrics.
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
  • Providing excellent service to our long-standing customer base.
  • Keeping up to date with the latest industry training (fully funded).
About You

You’re a skilled engineer or mechanic who enjoys working independently, solving problems, and delivering great service. You take pride in your work and understand the importance of keeping equipment in top condition.

  • Experience in a similar role - car and vans to forklift, agricultural, or construction equipment.
  • Strong fault-finding and repair skills - hands-on and practical.
  • Excellent communication - clear, professional, and customer-focused.
  • Highly organised - able to prioritise and manage workloads efficiently.
  • A clean driving licence - highly desirable for this field-based role.
