Field Service Engineer - Vehicle Wash Equipment
Location: Central Belt Scotland, Falkirk area (covering up to a 50-mile radius)
Salary: £32,500 rising to £36,500 after probation + performance bonus + van + overtime + benefits
Hours: 45 hours per week (Mon-Fri) + 1 in 4 weekends (premium rates apply)

The Role

We're looking for a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our service team, maintaining and repairing vehicle wash equipment across the Central Belt of Scotland region (within a 50-mile radius of Falkirk). You'll be the technical expert customers rely on to keep their equipment performing at its best. This is a hands‑on, field‑based role where you'll diagnose faults, carry out repairs, complete installations, and deliver high‑quality service with minimal supervision.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs on a full range of vehicle wash systems.
  • Attend breakdowns, diagnose faults, and deliver first‑time fixes wherever possible.
  • Install and commission new equipment to company standards.
  • Perform chemical top‑ups and complete all required service documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal support teams.
  • Follow all company procedures and health & safety requirements.
What We're Looking For
  • Full, valid UK driving licence.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills, backed by hands‑on experience.
  • Confident working independently and delivering high standards.
  • Professional and customer‑focused approach — you're the face of the business on‑site.
  • Comfortable using tablets and customer portals for job logging and updates.
Desirable
  • Mechanical/electrical engineering qualification. SVQ etc.
  • Experience working with vehicle wash or similar automated equipment.
