A leading generator hire company in the UK is seeking an experienced Service Engineer to support the Service Department in maintenance and repairs on diesel generators. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer service focus and solid technical background in mechanical or electrical engineering. This role includes routine servicing, diagnosing faults, and participating in an on-call rota.
This role offers a great opportunity for an experienced Service Engineer. You will play a key role in supporting the Service Department by performing maintenance and repairs on customer-owned diesel generators and our rental fleet. This position requires a high degree of customer interaction and collaboration with various departments, so a strong customer service focus is essential.
Service and Repairs
Perform routine servicing and maintenance of diesel generators for both customer-owned and rental equipment.
Diagnose faults and carry out repairs
Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on customer and rental generators, ensuring quick resolution of any issues.
Site Surveys
Conduct site surveys as requested to assess service needs and maintenance requirements.
On-Call Duty
Participate in the company's on-call rota system to provide timely assistance during off-hours.
