Field Service Engineer

Locations: Dundee and the surrounding areas

Salary: £28,350 + Bonus Scheme

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday (paid door-to-door)

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

We're looking for experienced and motivated Field Service Engineer to join a well-established healthcare engineering team supporting care homes and medical facilities across Dundee and the surrounding areas. You'll play a key role in keeping vital patient-handling equipment operating safely and efficiently, ensuring care professionals can continue providing high-quality support to those who need it most.

This is a great opportunity for hands-on engineers who enjoy variety, travel, and working with purpose-driven equipment that genuinely impacts people's lives.

What You'll Do

You'll work both independently and as part of a wider service team, providing installation, maintenance, and repair support for a range of healthcare equipment.

Typical duties include:

  • Installing and assembling profiling beds and alternating pressure mattresses (APMs)
  • Servicing and inspecting assisted baths, hoists, scales, and plinths
  • Cleaning, decontaminating, and repairing APMs in the workshop when required
  • Delivering and setting up equipment on client sites
  • Completing accurate digital service reports via a mobile app
  • Following strict health and safety procedures at all times
  • Maintaining professional communication with clients and colleagues

This role involves travel across the UK and occasional overnight stays, with all costs covered.

What We're Looking For

You'll already have experience in a technical, servicing, or maintenance role and enjoy working in a practical, customer-facing environment.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Background in mechanical, electrical, or electro-mechanical engineering
  • Strong problem-solving and fault-finding ability
  • Confident communicator with a professional approach
  • Physically fit and comfortable with nationwide travel
  • Able to obtain a PVG certificate (application supported)
