Job summary

A specialist engineering firm in the UK is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide installation and maintenance for environmental control systems. Engineering @365 is working with a specialist engineering business that designs, installs, and maintains high-performance air handling and climate control systems for a wide range of industrial and technical applications. The company is known for its engineering excellence, customer focus, and long‑term service relationships.

About the role

This is a field-based position providing installation, maintenance, and technical support for environmental and humidity control systems across the UK. The role suits a hands‑on engineer with strong mechanical and electrical skills who enjoys problem‑solving and working independently on customer sites.

You will be part of a friendly and skilled service team, ensuring equipment is installed, maintained, and performing to specification. Occasional overnight stays may be required, with all travel and accommodation managed to ensure a good work‑life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out installation, commissioning, service, and repair of environmental control equipment on customer sites.
  • Perform electrical and mechanical diagnostics, identify faults, and implement solutions effectively.
  • Complete service documentation, including reports and parts usage records.
  • Liaise with customers to deliver clear updates, advice, and on‑site training where required.
  • Provide feedback to the engineering team to support product improvements and reliability.
What we’re looking for
  • Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer or similar technical role.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical understanding, ideally within HVAC or process equipment.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide.
  • Experience working with air handling, dehumidification, or industrial drying systems.
  • Electrical or mechanical qualifications (HNC/HND or equivalent).
  • F‑Gas certification or similar industry credentials.
