Job summary

Linde Material Handling is seeking a Field Service Engineer to cover the Chesterfield area (S40/S41) for service, diagnostics and repair of Linde forklifts and material handling equipment.

The role involves diagnosing faults, performing preventative maintenance at customer sites, and keeping accurate service records using IT systems while liaising with customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) preferred.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Experience with forklift, plant or vehicle equipment beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Fault diagnosis and rectification on Linde forklifts and related equipment.
• Undertake preventative maintenance at customer sites.
• Maintain accurate service records and place orders using IT systems.
• Support day-to-day operations and on-call duties as required.

We are currently looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our team in the Chesterfield area. The geographical patch to be covered is the S40 and S41 postcode area.

We are looking for vehicle technicians or mechanical engineers who have experience working as a forklift technician, plant fitter, plant technician, vehicle technician or a similar type of role. Experience within plant equipment, powered access equipment, agricultural machinery, motor vehicles or industrial cleaners may make this role perfect for you!

Working with everything from small pallet trucks, through to IC trucks, VNA trucks and automated trucks, you will be required to find, diagnose, and rectify faults, and undertake preventative maintenance on Linde forklifts and other material handling equipment at our customer sites.

Who are we looking for?

To be considered for this role, you will need experience in at least one of the following areas:

• Mechanical engineering
• Electrical engineering
• Hydraulics

Ideally you will have an NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) qualification, although this is not essential.

You will need to be IT literate and able to use latest technology to keep accurate records and place orders.

You must hold a full UK driving licence.

You will need to have the following personal attributes:
