Global Service Engineer - Electrical Control Specialist

£50,000 - £55,000 (Basic salary of £38,000)

Are you an experienced Service Engineer with a strong background in electrical control systems? We’re looking for a dedicated professional to join a leading global supplier of advanced lubrication and coating equipment for the glass container industry.

Location: Based at our UK office in Chesterfield, with regular UK and international travel.

What You’ll Do
  • Install, commission, troubleshoot, repair, test, and maintain precision lubrication and coating systems at customer sites worldwide.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
  • Produce detailed engineering service reports to support quality standards and continuous improvement.
  • Apply your knowledge of PLC control systems (Siemens & Schneider preferred) to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Participate in call-out cover alongside the engineering team.
What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum ONC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (HNC preferred), plus strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Hands‑on experience with the ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel extensively in the UK and overseas, often outside standard office hours.
  • Proficiency in personal computing and ideally some PLC experience.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Excellent communication skills; foreign language ability is a bonus but not essential.
