Overview

Service Engineer (Field/Mobile Mechanic/Vehicle Technician) – Chelmsford and Romford.

Monday to Friday 40 or 45 hour contracts available. Salary: AGBP 31,000 to AGBP 39,000 starting salary depending on contract chosen.

The company manufactures forklift trucks. You will be part of a local team responsible for planned maintenance and breakdown coverage on a range of forklifts and related equipment in Chelmsford and Romford. No extended travel or overnight stays are required. Overtime is available if desired, mostly during the week.

The Service Engineer Role In Brief

• Carry out PPM and breakdown on materials handling machinery on a field service engineering basis
• Reactive breakdown coverage within the allocated geographical area
• Complete comprehensive training to get fully competent on all machinery and equipment
• Spares placed in van overnight

The Service Engineer Required

• Plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural or similar equipment, automotive technicians/motor trade will also be suitable
• Engine diagnostics and some basic electrical skills
• Ideally hold a level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject
