Job summary

A global manufacturer of scientific instrumentation is looking for a motivated Field Service Engineer to join their team in the South of England. You will be responsible for servicing, installing, and repairing scientific instruments onsite while managing travel across the M4 corridor. Ideal candidates should have an HND in engineering, experience with complex instruments, and excellent communication skills. A compelling remuneration and benefits package, including a bonus and company car, is offered.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of GMP.
  • Full driving license and willingness to travel up to 80% of your time.

Job description

Our client is a global manufacturer of specialist scientific instrumentation, helping laboratories around the world enable advancements in many areas such as pharmaceutical, food, environmental and healthcare.

To ensure the efficiency of their operations, they are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Field Service engineer to join their team in the South of England.

Responsibilities
  • Servicing, installing and repairing scientific instrumentation onsite, specializing in the company's inorganic product range (ICP, FT-IR, UV/Vis, GC & AA instrumentation)
  • Covering a local territory across the M4 corridor with travel further afield in the South of England
  • Diagnosing faults on complex scientific equipment ensuring prompt, flexible and customer focused support
  • Managing equipment parts and spare parts
Qualifications
  • HND in engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Previous experience servicing complex scientific instrumentation (chromatography, mass spectrometry, automation) from a range of instrument vendors
  • Knowledge of GMP
  • Full driving license and willingness to travel up to 80% of your time
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
