Job description
Overview

Field Service Engineer - Barnsley / North of England

£35,000 + Company Vehicle + Bonus + Excellent Work-Life Balance

Are you looking for a full-time Service Engineer role that offers a genuine work-life balance?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established engineering business where you'll be based out of Barnsley and covering the North of England. Managing your own diary, you'll rarely — if ever — need to stay away overnight. In fact, some days you might even be back in-house by 1 or 2pm.

You'll be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance, service, and repair work on a range of mechanical equipment. Sites are varied from factories and mills to treatment plants giving you plenty of variety without excessive travel demands.

What’s in it for you
  • A genuinely balanced working week - home most nights
  • Autonomy to plan your own workload and schedule
  • Fully expensed company vehicle and all travel costs covered
  • Supportive team with full technical backup and ongoing training
  • The chance to work for a respected engineering company with a strong reputation for service quality
What we’re looking for
  • A background in mechanical engineering or maintenance (ideally within water, materials handling or pneumatic conveying industries)
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical equipment (electrical skills a bonus)
  • A full driving licence and a flexible, customer-focused approach

If you're an experienced engineer who takes pride in quality workmanship but wants more control over your time, this could be the ideal move
