Mobile Electrical Engineer / Permanent / Thetford (with UK-wide travel required) / Salary up to £37,000 + Accommodation provided

Position 1 Recruitment is looking for an experienced Mobile Electrical Engineer to join our client - a well-established engineering company based in Thetford. The business is known for its specialist work in electrical systems used in performance and public venues throughout the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ability to interpret wiring schematics & layout drawings
  • Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles
  • Strict adherence to Health & Safety policies, including Method Statements & Risk Assessments
  • Able to work with galvanised trunking and conduit
  • Must be physically fit & comfortable with working at height
  • Experience in similar work, including wire/cable termination & electrical assembly
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Be conscientious & neat with their standard of workmanship

A successful Mobile Electrical Engineer will ideally have experience working within public venues, along with a strong background in electrical maintenance and installation. Candidates should hold relevant Electrical Engineering qualifications and demonstrate good IT skills with strong attention to detail.

Additional desirable qualifications include City & Guilds 18th Edition, as well as LOLER, IPAF, and PASMA certifications—although training can be provided for the right candidate. Applicants must also be comfortable working at height and hold a full UK manual driving licence.
