Job description

Field Service Chemist / Water Testing

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out water testing of systems to validate correct application of our additives and equipment calibrations/first fix.
  • Provide support to customers in maintaining legionella compliance.
  • Have oversight of internal processes from order placement to delivery.
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders within current and prospective customers.
  • Provide technical support to customers, identifying and resolving customer challenges, and escalating to expert colleagues as required.
  • Engage in problem solving by performing system analysis, plant surveys, interpreting data and providing written recommendations to ensure customer operations are performing at optimal levels.
  • Actively sell and support our Water innovations and technology in assigned customers to promote long-term business relationships with us.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, etc.) or Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial) preferred.
  • 3 years of successful technical sales or field sales support experience.
  • Full UK Driver's licence and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
  • Have knowledge and skills in industrial water treatment, typically linked to utilities such as cooling towers, boilers, pasteurisers and wastewater treatment plants.
  • Understand UK Legionella compliance.
  • Be part of a field-based sales and service team and will be expected to visit customer sites to complete water testing, take appropriate actions based on results, and report on findings.
  • Perform on-site water testing, adjust dosing, and perform minor repairs to chemical dosing controllers and equipment, including calibrations and probe replacements.
