A growing sales firm in Manchester is seeking a Field Sales Manager to lead business development in an exciting niche sector. You will grow new business sales significantly and develop relationships while working autonomously within a small team. Excellent candidates will have significant experience in consultative sales and relationship management, ideally with a degree. Competitive salary up to £38,000 with additional car allowance and bonuses available.

Basic salary £30,000 to £33,000 plus Car Allowance £5,000 and OTE of circa £12,000 per annum (Uncapped)

This client is based West of Manchester and is looking for someone to join their small but very well established team. Offering solutions and services to various sectors.

Having a small team this is the first dedicated Senior Sales person they have recruited to take over all the sales strategy from the MD. They have had strong organic growth over the last 20 years and now are in a very safe and stable place to be able to grow successfully with the right business development manager learning the industry and growing the sales and revenue. This is a superb opportunity for someone who wants to be part of a small team and has a very consultative, polished style and prides themselves on very high quality work. They have some excellent, long term and very loyal customers and some clients that have used their services on an ad hoc basis that need visiting and communicating with by a sales professional.This is an ASAP start - Interviews November 2018

The Role:

  • To grow the new business sales by £500,000 over the first 2 years
  • Some business is quick turn around and some needs developing over time and some will be bigger but longer term
  • All expenses covered for travel and appointments
  • 50% new business sales 25% developing and chasing existing / older customers and 25% marketing
  • Office based near Warrington when not out in the field at set appointments generated by you
  • Lots of development of your own account base over year 1 - 2 and 3
  • Autonomy
  • Responsible for sales strategy and reporting directly to the MD
  • A lot of relationship management
  • A great role - lots of face to face - autonomy - business development and organic growth

The Person and package:

  • Experienced, consultative sales professional with strong new business experience and success but tcan also build long term lasting relationships
  • Works well in a small team
  • Good listener - polished - articulate - Degree educated
  • Commutable to Near WA11 daily
  • Excellent face to face at all levels especially director
  • Has worked autonomously before with minor support and likes that but also likes the small team and reporting to the MD
  • In it for the long haul and knows how to build a pipeline
  • We are not looking for someone who has sold pens and pencils or products from a catalogue or one hit quick close advertising role or similar
  • Negotiable basic + car allowance under £40,000 per annum with year 1 OTE plus £12,000
  • Company benefits - 28 days holiday to start
