Job summary

Ambulance NB seeks a Primary Care Paramedic to join the Rapid Response Unit. You will provide pre-hospital clinical care, assess and triage patients, and work with ambulance crews to deliver treatment.

You must meet NB paramedic registration, have PCP training, and a NB Class 4 license, with a commitment to flexible shifts. The role requires English or French proficiency, a valid D/L, and the ability to work rotating days/nights, including weekends and holidays, in Fredericton NB.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in Canada (citizenship, permanent resident, or work permit).
• Primary Care Paramedic program/course of over six months.
• Must meet all legislated requirements for Paramedics in New Brunswick.
• Must be registered, active Paramedic with PANB (visit PANB website).
• Minimum of two years’ experience as a registered PCP.
• Must have a valid NB Class 4 Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-hospital clinical care prior to arrival of transporting ambulance.
• Maintain and operate ambulances/CSU and equipment according to patient needs.
• Assess, triage, and manage patient care until arrival of an ambulance.
• Work with ambulance personnel to deliver medical treatment when needed.
