Job summary

A leading fire protection solutions provider in the UK is seeking an experienced Field Maintenance Engineer. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing water mist fire suppression systems across London and Birmingham. Ideal candidates should have a strong background in fire protection systems, a Level 3 Electrical qualification, and a full UK driving licence. Field Maintenance Engineer

Salary : £35,000 – £40,000 + Benefits

Location : Birmingham (field-based)

We’re recruiting experienced Field Maintenance Engineers to join a respected specialist in fire suppression and safety systems. You’ll play a key role maintaining and repairing water mist fire suppression systems for clients across the London or Birmingham regions.

The Role
  • Carry out planned maintenance, servicing and repairs of water mist fire suppression systems
  • Liaise with the office to plan maintenance visits and ensure all equipment and parts are available
  • Provide a professional on‑site service, representing the company to customers with high standards of conduct and safety
  • Complete all job paperwork accurately via tablet or iPad
  • Participate in call‑out duties on a rota basis
  • Maintain your service vehicle, tools and PPE to required standards
  • Follow all QHSE procedures and ensure compliance with company and industry regulations
Requirements
  • Good knowledge of water mist fire suppression systems and the wider fire protection sector
  • Proven experience in a field engineer, maintenance, or service technician role
  • Relevant technical qualifications – ideally Level 3 Electrical (18th Edition preferred)
  • Confident using digital reporting tools (tablet / iPad)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Able to pass Enhanced Level 1 security vetting (custodial establishments) – support provided
