Job summary

Flat Fee Recruiter is seeking an experienced Lift Engineer (Service Engineer) for a field-based role in South East England. The position offers a competitive salary, 25 days holiday, a company pension, early finish on Fridays, and a company vehicle.

The role involves installing, servicing, maintaining and repairing lifting equipment at customer sites, ensuring safe and efficient operation. A full UK driving licence is required and you must be authorised to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ3/BTEC/City & Guilds or a related degree).
• Minimum four years' hands-on service/maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Carry out repairs to minimise downtime.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance and servicing.
• Install, test and commission new lifting equipment at customer sites.
• Train customers on safe operation of equipment.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support.
• Complete service reports and maintain maintenance records.
• Manage spare parts inventory and update documentation.
• Participate in out-of-hours call-out rota.
• Ensure work complies with health and safety regulations.
