Job summary

Verisure is seeking a Field Installation Engineer in Epsom to install, service and maintain security systems on-site. You will assess properties, recommend solutions and demonstrate systems to customers.

The role combines technical work with high-quality customer service and requires independence to solve problems and communicate effectively. No prior security experience is required as full training is provided; a technical mindset and willingness to learn are essential.

• Install, service and maintain Verisure alarm systems with a focus on first-time fix.
• Provide expert advice to design systems that meet customer needs and risks.
• Deliver clear and engaging system demonstrations to customers.
• Troubleshoot faults and resolve technical issues, including repeat false alarms.
• Identify opportunities to enhance customer security through additional products and services.
• Manage stock, tools and company vehicle in line with company standards.

Job description

Job: Field Installation Engineer

Location: Epsom (must be within this area)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £26,440 basic (increasing with progression) + uncapped commission (OTE up to £50,000)

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, 9am-6pm, Monday to Friday

Saturday: One Saturday on, one Saturday off, with a day in lieu for Saturdays worked

Holiday: 29 days annual leave, increasing to 31 days after 1 year

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Field Installation Engineer to join Verisure.

This is a field-based technical role where you'll install, service and maintain security systems while interacting directly with customers. You'll assess customers' properties, recommend appropriate security solutions and identify opportunities for upgrades or additional products to enhance their security setup.

You don't need previous experience in security systems, as full training will be provided. However, we're looking for someone who is technically minded, practical and enjoys solving problems, with the confidence to work independently and communicate effectively with customers.

Success in this role comes from combining strong technical and practical skills with excellent customer service and the ability to recommend the right solutions for each customer's needs.

• Comfortable using hand tools and working at height (step ladders)
• Full, clean manual driving licence
• Interest in technology and security systems
• Confident communicating with customers and recommending additional products or upgrades
• Previous experience in a technical, engineering, installation, sales, upselling or customer-facing role is an advantage but not essential
• A willingness to learn and develop technical skills through our training programme
