Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Field Inspection Engineer to deliver quality surveillance for asset and quality solutions across energy, industrial and transportation sectors.

Outage support and product conformity oversight are key responsibilities, demanding detailed mechanical engineering experience and recognised qualifications, with a focus on producing rigorous reports and challenging non-compliance with project specs.

Qualifications

• Detailed engineering experience in power generation maintenance or service environment.
• Experience with Quality Control and/or Quality Assurance in a maintenance or service setting.
• Recognised craft apprenticeship training and formal engineering qualifications (HNC, HND, BEng, BSc or equivalent).
• Candidates will have Mechanical Engineering experience in valves, pumps, gas turbines, steam turbines, rotating plant, piping, pressure vessels or compressors.

Responsibilities

• Outage support providing hands-on quality oversight during major outage works.
• Lead and support conformity assessment activities outside outages to maintain high supplier and component standards.
