Job summary

Protech Group is seeking an experienced Service Engineer to commission, service and repair gas, LPG, oil-fired and HVAC systems across a diverse client base. You’ll work on boilers, pumps, pressurisation sets and flue systems, adhering to manufacturer specs and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Service Engineer or similar field-based engineering role.
• Experience servicing, commissioning and repairing gas, LPG, oil or HVAC systems.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
• Proactive and professional approach to work.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong understanding of health, safety and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining technical competence.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Service, commission and carry out reactive repairs on gas, LPG, oil-fired and HVAC appliances.
• Maintain and service plant equipment including boilers, pumps and flue systems.
• Ensure servicing and maintenance activities meet manufacturer instructions and industry standards.
• Participate in a regional call-out rota to provide responsive support to customers.
• Carry out fault finding and identify remedial works where required.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors and colleagues.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, following RAMS and COSHH information.
