Job summary

Get Staff is seeking a Fire and Security Engineer to cover Peterborough and Cambridgeshire. You will install, service and maintain fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV and access control across multiple sites. A field‑based role requires a full UK driving license and a proactive, safety‑minded approach.

The position offers a competitive salary up to £43,000 with overtime, a company vehicle and travel pay, plus pension and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence is essential.
• At least 3 years’ experience within the fire and security sector is preferred.
• Desirable qualifications: IPAF, CSCS/ECS, FIA and/or City & Guilds.
• Positive attitude and self‑motivation are essential.

Responsibilities

• Installation, service, repair, fault‑finding & maintenance of fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems.
• Field based role covering a number of sites.
• Working on a range of brands of manufacturer.
• Take responsibility for the overall quality of the work delivered.
• Carry out effective communication with customers at all times.
• Ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
• Provide support to team members when required.
