Job summary

SLB is seeking a Field Engineer Trainee in the UK to develop into a technical specialist, manager and leader. You will gain expertise in product knowledge, leadership, and customer interaction, progressing toward professional membership.

You will join a small, collaborative team supporting Completions & Well Intervention (CWI) activities and undertake a structured training program to build technical competencies, field experience, and engineering capabilities.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (BEng/MEng) preferred; Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Petroleum or Process engineering encouraged.
• Globally mobile and able to work in field-based environments.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, high-value, technically complex context.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities

• During the training, ensure deliverables are accurate and on time.
• Assist with planning and execution of completion, workover and well intervention operations.
• Assist with preparation and review of AFEs.
• Develop understanding of well integrity, barriers, pressure control, and safety requirements.
• Execute service delivery to the customer and participate in risk analysis.
• Develop customer contacts to promote SLB products and services.
• Support HSE and Quality initiatives and comply with CAT and inspections.
