Field Engineer - Data Cabling

Location: South East England (ideally along the A2/M2 corridor)

Salary: £30,000-£40,000 per annum + 10% discretionary bonus

Contract: Full‑Time, Permanent

About the role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and skilled professional to join a growing team delivering innovative in‑building connectivity solutions across the UK. As a Field Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the installation and maintenance of a variety of cabling systems and associated containment, as well as equipment and wireless access points. You’ll play a vital role in upholding high standards of safety, quality, and installation processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, terminate, and troubleshoot in‑building communications systems across multiple sites.
  • Carry out cabling activities including copper (CAT5E, CAT6, CAT6A) and fibre installations.
  • Deploy wireless equipment, including at height where required.
  • Contribute to safety and quality standards, implementing and maintaining best practices.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in structured cabling and system testing.
  • Strong knowledge of copper and fibre optic cabling installation and fault‑finding.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills with keen attention to detail and ability to meet project timelines.
  • Full UK driving licence (clean) and ability to drive a 3.5T van.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. CSCS/ECS, Working at Height, SSSTS/SMSTS).
