A leading engineering company in Crawley is seeking a Field Service Engineer to deliver high-quality on-site repairs and foster strong relationships with local customers. The ideal candidate will be hands-on and possess excellent problem-solving skills, ensuring machinery reliability. This role requires professional representation and effective communication with customers while adhering to safety standards.
As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of our customer service — diagnosing faults, repairing and replacing hydraulic components on-site, and keeping critical machinery up and running. Your role is hands-on, fast-paced, and essential to ensuring our customers can rely on us when they need support most.
Alongside the repair work, you’ll also help strengthen our local presence by building relationships with customers in your area, maintaining visibility, and supporting Project Goldilocks – our initiative focused on developing strong local customer bases. This may include checking in with customers, leaving catalogues or information, and ensuring we’re front of mind when they need us.
Success in the role is measured not only by the quality and efficiency of your repairs, but also by meeting key performance indicators such as job volumes, average job values, and customer satisfaction. Together, these ensure we continue to deliver an exceptional service while helping the business grow in a sustainable way.
