Job summary

Wallace Hind Selection is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our growing team on a field-based role. You will diagnose faults, repair industrial machinery, and perform preventive maintenance at customer sites across multiple industries, including recycling, farming, and manufacturing.

The role involves reading electrical drawings, fault finding on PLC systems, and delivering excellent customer service while working independently on site. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical fault‑finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read and work from electrical drawings.
• Knowledge of PLCs and automation systems.
• Understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics in machinery.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and repairing electrical breakdowns on industrial machinery.
• Carrying out planned maintenance and servicing.
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings.
• Fault finding on PLC‑controlled systems.
• Working independently at customer sites.
