Vector Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking a Field-Based Drainage Engineer for Guildford. The role involves hands-on drainage investigations, repairs, maintenance, and emergency call-outs across domestic and commercial properties.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years experience, are customer-focused, and capable of using mobile apps and digital job management systems. A company vehicle and on-call rota support the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Drainage Engineer or Drainage Technician.
• Experience in customer-facing environments.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Comfortable using mobile apps and digital job management systems.

Responsibilities

• Attend emergency and scheduled drainage call-outs
• Diagnose and resolve drainage issues efficiently on-site
• Carry out: CCTV drain surveys, HPWJ, drain unblocking and clearance, root cutting and descaling, patch lining repairs, minor excavations and drainage repairs
• Communicate professionally with customers and explain findings clearly
• Recommend additional drainage or repair work where appropriate
• Follow all health & safety procedures and industry standards
• Participate in an on-call rota supporting 24/7 emergency drainage services
• Deliver excellent customer service while representing the business positively
